Wild venison is perhaps the most ethical meat consumed in Britain today. However, all venison sold by British supermarkets is farmed, the majority of which is imported, often from as far as New Zealand. As with nearly all farmed products, you entirely lose the sustainability angle, and therefore the halo effect that conservation has, in contributing to biodiversity.
Wild venison on the contrary, is carbon neutral, directly contributing to the reduction of methane, given you're assisting population reduction, which in turn results in more organic matter such as plants and trees being present in an environment, through natural regeneration, as browsing pressure has been reduced to sustainable levels. More carbon dioxide is therefore absorbed from the atmosphere.
Wild venison is also, on the whole, locally consumed, via pubs, restaurants, butchers, farm shops etc... food miles aren't comparable to those associated with imported farmed venison.
"Let's instead farm the wild and with a sustainable focus"

Sourcing directly from Venatio is also hugely cost efficient, as the "middle men" aren't involved in the chain, other than for processing. Venison prices compare favourably to those of beef and lamb.
